Butterfly Wings
Michelle Noel
In Edward Lorenz’ theorem of The Butterfly Effect, it is proposed that the flap of a butterflies wings in Brazil, can effect many complex systems across the globe. Such as a tornado in Texas, or even the death of a loved one.
The question that keeps me up at night is, if that butterfly had flapped its wings ever so slightly to the left, or a smidge to the right, would they be with us right now? Would those we’ve lost, still be in our lives?
Production Notes: I really enjoyed creating this song. The strings and even the beats in mwic’s cosine, spoke to me and the lyrics try to kiss the guitar strokes when possible. This is the first time I’ve created my own instrumentation. I added the Full Strings element with my Roland GoKeys on a loop track. Then worked to extend the original track by mwic. It was a fun and cathartic project. Congrats ccMixter on 20 Years!
