Somehow I missed this one from Javolenus (uploaded July last year) and even more surprisingly no-one with more abilities than me has done a remix yet! I find the chord progression charming and the Charlie Byrd-style acoustic guitar and samba feel just begged me to do something with it. I got a bit carried away recording three separate tracks with my new set of harmonicas. Found the perfect sparse-as-Miles muted trumpet of Spinningmerkaba (synchronicitously in E-flat) which seemed to be composed specifically for Javo’s groove and finished off with a mood-changing violin sample from stringfactory in a slightly jarring minor. Maybe someone else might like to take this further? All the stems are there.
