While remixing the last 1:20 of Miles Ahead, noticed that buried in the jazz Panu was playing some loop-worthy Delbert McClinton style guitar rhythms.
Cut out an 8 bar guitar loop and a 4 bar loop. Added Bayou style accoustic bass and drum gumbo.
Looking for a likely Panu vocal uploaded that would fit with the Panu guitar loops, found Li’l Rosey.
Pitching the vox down 2 steps, we had a winning Bayou gumbo recipe. Could have pitched up the music but Panu’s voice projected better over the music in the lower key and resonated mo’ better.
A copy of the 4 bar loop was pitched up to the 5th in some places to follow the vox.
Wanted to added another acoustic instruments for color. It was toss up between accordion and harmonica.
